HKSNEAA Leadership Breakfast-From Reactive to Responsive: How Mindfulness Transforms Leadership

Please join us for the next virtual  "Leadership Breakfast Meeting", one in a series offered by the Harvard Kennedy School New England Alumni Association (HKSNEAA).

Skilled leaders respond thoughtfully rather than react impulsively to challenges. Rita Wuebbeler will lead this interactive session to introduce practical mindfulness tools that help leaders stay focused and calm under pressure. Participants will learn simple meditation techniques and awareness practices they can use immediately in meetings, difficult conversations, and decision-making. The session will also serve as a preview for a future 4-part virtual workshop series designed to help leaders integrate mindfulness into their work and daily lives that will be offered later in the fall.

Rita, a frequent guest speaker for HKSNEAA virtual meetings/workshops, is a certified mindfulness meditation teacher, facilitator and executive coach who teaches Mindfulness at Work, Intentional Self-Care and other mindfulness well-being programs in-person and online to a wide range of audiences. Her courses are aimed at helping participants be more intentional in their approach to work and personal life, staying present and calm in stressful situations, avoiding burnout and remaining focused on their tasks at hand. She offers a weekly meditation group to individuals from around the world and publishes a mindfulness-focused blog called “MindTaming” on a regular basis.
