We are looking for HKS alumni to join the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. After a one-day training, you will be equipped to help low income Boston residents file their taxes and maximize their Earned Income Credit, a significant part of annual take-home for many low income citizens. Tax returns for many of these families means that they can continue to meet rent payments or put food on the table.

You will be working alongside other alumni and HKS students and volunteering on a schedule that works for you. VITA is a national program that provides free tax preparation assistance to low- and middle-income taxpayers and offers you a real-world perspective on tax policy and a chance to see how policy shapes incentives for individuals and families.

Training date: Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 9 am - 5:00 pm, Computer Lab on the ground floor of Taubman. Lunch will be provided.
